Why This Must Be Read: Quite possibly one of my favorite Daniel/Vala stories ever. Set in Season 10, Daniel is late coming home from off-world and the rest of the team is left to worry over the possibilities of what may have become of him. Sam, Mitchell, Teal'c, and even a visiting Jack all gather around Vala as a support system. This is a great take into the minds of each of the characters, and the original ending leaves it to stay true to canon. However,thalion_pip also wrote an alternate, shippy ending as well, which is also wonderful. Definitely worth reading!
