Why This Must Be Read: What a nice little find this story is! I was actually looking for another story of Berty's to recommend when I came upon this one. Of course, tons of people probably already read this story since it was nominated in the Stargate Fan awards for 2006. I'm slow on the uptake. So, if you are like me, you will be charmed by this discovery. This story starts out with Daniel being injured off-world. Jack sends Teal’c back with the natives to get a healer, while he sends Carter back through the gate to get a medical team. The story turns into a lovely discovery of feelings. As Daniel suffers through the pain of being poisoned, Jack refocuses Daniel’s mind on finding his “Happy Place”. This is all written from Jack’s POV. While he tries to help Daniel, he remembers brief snippets of his own life that are important to the story. I am not going to tell you where Daniel’s Happy Place is – you will have to find that yourself! Enjoy!
