Mar. 2nd, 2007 05:19 pmGreetings all! This month I shall be reccing the awesomeness of short fiction: drabbles, flashfic and vignettes - anything under 1000 words. Sometimes the shortest fics are the ones that you remember most.

Why This Must Be Read:
Everything Claira writes is fantastic, and this is no exception.
Her writing style captures this imagined moment, unfolding the premise carefully until you suddenly realise the meaning behind the title and absorb the implications. It's Jack, exposed and raw post "Abyss" with a memory he can't forget.
As a short fic, it's a great example of how a few well placed phrases can really pull you in as a reader and leave you with something to think about.
