Why This Must Be Read:
Short and sweet,
spike21's fic is based off the prompt "Zelenka/Ronon, balcony, gauze." The fic is an interesting look at both the aftermath of Radek finally gathering up his courage to approach Elizabeth and the budding friendship between Radek and Ronon that will eventually be more. There is the added bonus of excellent Rodney characterization thrown in as well, even if he never enters the scenes.
It's a pleasure to read, and I hope you take a moment to enjoy
spike21's fic.
Excerpt:
Radek had not meant to find company. In fact, the very last thing he'd intended to find was company. What he'd wanted was a nice quiet spot with a view of the ocean where he could allow the humiliation to kill him quietly and in peace. If only the giant had made a little more noise.
He could, of course, make some excuse and return indoors. He could also, he supposed, make some amusing pleasantry and jump to his death. At least that way he would be spared reliving Elizabeth's apologetic smile -- a vision that is sufficiently burned into his memories that he really needs no further exposure to pass it on to future generations of now unlikely Zelenka offspring.
