Why This Must Be Read: Set pre-Rising, whilst the team is still in Antartica, this is an amusing little piece detailing the formation of Weir and McKay's friendship. In Antartica is a storage room with a ratty old coach and a pile of abadoned books/magazines, which is frequented by McKay and Weir when they need to "get away". In this fic McKay finds Weir reading some trashy romance novel, and takes the oppertunity to tease/humiliate her. I could so see him actually doing that.
