Why This Must Be Read: What happens when Jack and the rest of SG-1 discover Mitchell is having "sexual relations" with Daniel Jackson? What happens is a funny, smooth little fic that is part Daniel/Mitchell, part Jack/Daniel friendship, part character piece, part team fic, with Daniel in the center of it all. Very much driven by dialogue, the author does an amazing job sustaining spot-on character voices throughout the story. Jack/Daniel is my OTP, and always will be, but, though Daniel/Mitchell is the slash focus here, the author does the J/D friendship proud, recognizing the depth of their knowledge of each other in ways that no one else can approach. The banter is there, the shorthand conversations, and all the nuances that make up the best J/D. And the Daniel/Mitchell? Daniel, again a spot-on, in step with canon characterization, runs rings around Mitchell, but, though he's beseiged on all sides by Daniel's friends and teammates, Mitchell knows Daniel's worth it.
Author's Summary: "They're like the scariest almost in-laws ever."
