Why This Must Be Read:synecdochic had this idea about creating this almost-AU where all the characters are a bit more "on edge" (I believe her words are "fucked-up").
Here Cam goes to Daniel's quarters, not quite sure of what he wants there. He doesn't know how to act and how to keep SG-1 together, having an internal "I'm not a good leader" crisis. And talking to Daniel doesn't really help. Or does it?
What really makes this fic so good to me is that Daniel is a bastard (and he has every right to be in the situation). And then he isn't. But even when he isn't, he is. Paradoxical!Daniel is what this short and beautiful piece is all about.
By the way, the author did not choose a rating, so the PG-13 is all on me...
