Quercus as written some wonderful Stargate fics, but I picked this one because it is so heartbreaking. There isn't much physical interaction between Jack and Daniel, but there's is one moment that is very special, which I can't forget. I won't tell you which, you'll know.
The story is told from Sam's POV, and Quercus writes a wonderful Sam. I would rec her Sam stories, but I'm the Jack/Daniel reccer, so I won't.
"Burqa" is one of the last pieces she published in 2003, and she seemed to think that some people could have religious issues with it. I wouldn't have seen it, if she hadn't given a warning in the story announcement, here, but I thought I'd let you know.

She writes wonderful Stargate fiction. I had a few problems with her Sentinel stuff, but her SG stories are great. I picked this one because I though that some people might have missed it since it isn't linked on her main page.

Oh yes, that is wonderful too.
I think my favourite of hers is "The Grave yields back her robberies". I just love the scenes in the sauna. It's curtain fic without the actual curtains, and I'm a sucker for curtain fic. My one dark secret. ;-)
And I absolutely adore "Things that happened", because I love Sam, but with all the slash, she is kind of neglected. "Things that happened" is perfect for the Sam love.

Curtain fic is the kind of fic where the protagonists move in with each other, buy curtains and then live happily ever after.
Don't get me wrong, I like angst just like the next girl, but sometimes I just want them to be happy. ;-)
That's why I like Sentinel so much: they already live together, of course they'd buy curtains together with Jim's sentinel sensivity and everything, and there was an indication of some kind of happiness at the end of the series.
Jack and Daniel are a bit harder to put in this position, so Quercus solution is just fine.
and yes, her fic is very smart, isn't it? I think she found a good balance with her stargate fics, but her sentinel ones were sometimes a bit too smart for me, as if she was losing herself in the intelligent writing, but lost track of the story itself. Maybe that's because I'm not a native speaker, and even though I have no small vocabulary, I do get lost when there are too many words I don't know. Or maybe I was distracted by thoughts of Him and Blair fucking like bunnies and couldn't concentrate on the readin. *g*

"The Grave Yields Back Her Robberies" is my most favorite 'happily ever after' J/D fics ever. Because I adore a good curtain fic, too. I read it whenever I'm feeling down, and I just escape into their world. I find it so lovely and soothing.

Her Sam fics are great, too. I approached them with some hesitation, because I don't find her character tremendously appealing. But I was delighted with the fics. And with her Sam.

Yes you should! Her stories take some time, but they are well worth it. :-)
