Why These Must Be Read:
I'm reccing two flashfics by Shalott this evening, as they work wonderfully as a pair, and as they are so short, reading only one would leave you wanting more :D These fics are inspiring, showing that you can convey a myriad of emotions and experience within a restricted format.
The Chambers of the Sea (595 words)
This was one of the very first Atlantis fics that I bookmarked. It's a lovely small snippet of Sheppard's first night in the Pegasus Galaxy. Not one word is wasted, it's absolutely amazing that in such a limited wordcount
astolat can fit in so many glimpses of the other characters at Atlantis.
Ecdysis (431 words)
Summary: He is awake, he thinks. This doesn't feel like dreaming.
Another hauntingly beautiful Sheppard snippet. Every moment is worth savouring. The language flows effortlessly and the imagery is powerful.
