Why This Must Be Read: Written from Zelenka's POV, this fic, helena_eternal's first "I sure hope they take me seriously" SGA fic, brings a different view of Rodney and John's relationship. In this fic, John never turned fully human again after Conversion, and is still blue with his (fantastic) bug eyes. When the president comes for a visit an d tells them that the Stargate Program is going public, they try to enforce a new millitary commander on Atlantis, something both the city herself and the residents doesn't like, Rodney least of all.

This story brings a wonderful look into what Rodney would do for John, for the man he loves even if they aren't together until the end of the story. A fantastic story, that you can read again and again cause you'll never get tired of the McShep love.
