I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone on the list that I fully support the decisions that are made by the volunteers and the mods. I was going to put this in the beginning of the month post, but I think it deserves one all its own.
Recently, some things have come up on the comm, and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] has stepped up to the task of dealing with them in a grand fashion. I really don't know what kind of muck this comm would be without her. I feel I need to put it out there that she handles a lot of the 'not fun' stuff so that I don't have to. She steps up and handles it wonderfully. It's not a fun job, it makes her the 'heavy' in a lot of situations, but I could not and would not be able to do this without her. By far and away, she has the most difficult job here. I know I don't say it enough, and I know I probably haven't been the best in showing it, but there isn't a better right hand anywhere. She's really one of the best people I know. No other way I can say it. And for clarification, I completely support every decision she's had to make here. They haven't been easy, but they've been the right ones. Sort of the mark of a good leader right? Someone who makes the tough decisions, even if they aren't 'popular'.
In the same vein, I want to thank the volunteers:

These seven people give of their time, voluntarily, to keep the comm organized. They respond to rec'cers often asking questions about tags and categories. They are all hard workers. So please, if one of them responds with a question about an entry, be nice in replying. They're just doing their job... and they don't get paid. :)
Basically, I just want to take a minute to thank all of them for all their hard work. It can be a pretty thankless job, I know, but I'm taking that moment now to thank them.
Thank you all!

Date: 2006-11-30 12:43 pm (UTC)Thank you to all of our rec'ers! I've read some truly amazing fics as a result of your work. I've come to rely on several rec'ers to take me into genres that are new to me and never been disappointed.
