Why This Must Be Read:The story starts out quite dark but it steers away from the gloom to rejoice in the glorious friendship between Jack and Daniel. The hallucination from an alien drug and physical injuries put Daniel in an unstable state and temporary loss of self but his unadulterated trust towards Jack gives him strength to fight his way through. Jack's ability to understand Daniel without words speaks of love and devotion deep in his subconsciousness. If that doesn't appeal you, I really don't know what does.
