Why This Must Be Read: The series doesn't give us anything close to a moment where Elizabeth and Teyla can bond, so we have to make up the difference ourselves. Thank God for fanfic. In this story, Elizabeth and Teyla grow closer, and yes, Teyla's trust in Elizabeth can be proven via the use of eyeliner. Elizabeth shares an aspect of Earth culture with Teyla in a way that highlights the fact that Teyla is an alien to much of the Lanteans' understanding, but it also shows that there is a common bond and that both women enjoy the act of teaching and learning.
