Why this musy be read:

Jack awakens to find himself ten years into the future, but with no memory from the past decade. Alone and deemed clinically insane, Jack must work to figure out how to change the mistakes of the past, and bring back together the friends he once knew. (Not a 2010 type story.)

This is a long story (clear a couple of hours from your schedule). When I first read this story, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not - some aspects of the story, while completely in character & plausible, jarred me, simply because I didn't like what it initally implied about the characters. Despite that I kept reading, and I'm delighted I did - it was an excellent story, and by the end of the story all the motivations and implications make perfect sense. This has appearances from Sam and Teal'c, buyt this is Jack's story, with a large helping of Daniel.

I didn't find this story an easy read, but it's well worth it.

I had a whole post/discussion with my flist when I first read this. I really wasn't sure about it, but a couple of things my flist pointed out to me, made me look at it in a different (and better!) light.
