Why This Must Be Read: There aren't many stories that I've found that deal so well with the "what if Sam was gay?" question. Through a number of characters' eyes, Laney tells a story that not only makes you believe that yes, Sam Carter can be gay, but the reactions of her friends and family are so real that it's very tangible and very believable.
The author began this story a few years ago now, so it is AU from the middle of season 5 of SG1 and from the beginning of season 7 of BtVS.
