Why This Must Be Read:

So, I set out to write a John/Ronon rec that demonstrates how smokingly hot this pairing can be, but then I got sidetracked by this little story.

It turns out that I have a deep, unholy love of Ronon's POV here: a little alien but very, very familiar all the same. Pru gets lovely, subtle characterization out of Ronon's memories and customs from Sateda, and manages the same understated brilliance when she characterizes the team dynamics on Atlantis. This is a story that not-at-all resembles the stereotypical John/Ronon interactions, but it's worth reading all the more for that reason.
