Why These Must Be Read: I'm enjoying the explosion of the Five Things meme in fandom more than I really should; each of them are glorious hints at stories that may never get written, but that's one of the best part about them, the way they dance around the surface and somehow manage to make the most profound observations possible. These two are a shining example of the genre; each of the individual Five Things are tiny polished jewels, through which we see all of Cameron's determination and that sort of sweet understated empathy and strong sense of honor that he always tries to downplay.
