Why This Must Be Read: Speculative fic based on the cliffhanger at the end of Season 9. This lovely piece of writing switches between the minutes after the cliffhanger and a time in the future in which the team unwinds and the SGC parties at General O'Neill's house. Rare for a fic about a pair getting together, this story gives insight into Teal'c's relationship with various characters rather than just the other half of the pair. While Teal'c's interactions with Sam and Cameron get the bulk of attention, there are some very nice Teal'c/Jack moments, too.

About the Jack/Sam content -- If you break out in hives at the mere thought, then maybe skipping is better for you but I hope you'll give it a go anyway. If you're more like me, you just don't see the pair working and would prefer if it weren't shoved in your face onscreen, then please don't let the warning deter you. The J/S canon is acknowledged and moved past. Teal'c need know only that he is not encroaching on "claimed territory" and the author gives us little more info than that.
