So, I have a theory: Jack and Daniel are pre-set to produce good smut.

I read a lot of fandoms, and a lot of PWP, but there are several Jack/Daniel fics that are just a level above everything else that's out there. I think it's got something to do with the way that there it's pretty easy to find power tensions in the pairing, and the way that the character backgrounds make it easy to add emotional spice to sex (because hey, there's nothing to spice up your gay sex life like repeated death and DADT, right?).

Anyway, I offer up this story as evidence for this theory. It's pretty much a list of everything that is good in PWP: it's got well-written sex, dirty talk (and there really is nothing better than well-written dirty talk with a linguist), a little light bondage for spice, and an understanding of the scary kind of focus Daniel could bring to sex if he ever put his mind to it. Jack wants Daniel rough and slow, and Daniel wants Jack incoherent. It turns out that everybody gets what they want, including the fans who spontaneously combust in their chairs. Seriously, there's nothing more to say about this story than 'if you want your glands absolutely stir-fried, here's one that'll do it for you.'
