Why this must be read:

This is a very well-written and interesting story. I had to read it a few times before I could really grasp it and it is even better after each reread. The characterizations are fabulous and all the voices ring true. I don't really know how to explain it, so I can only say that it is a must read, for anyone.

Excerpt:

"If half of what you're telling me is true then we should at least investigate the possibility," Dr. Weir says tightly after they have been through the long process of medical clearance.

Teyla is tired and wishes little more than to sleep. She councils returning to the planet only once, to collect her teammates and turn down the offer that has been sent with them, but the Atlanteans, as usual, do not listen. One of these times, she thinks as she washes the grime off her body and prepares to return with John to the other side, they will learn the folly of their lack of caution.

It will not be this time.
