Why This Must Be Read: When I first ran into Stargate Atlantis I was looking for SG-1 episodes at the local video store. I scoped out the box for the SGA season premiere (hey, I'm an addict) and said to the boyfriend, "Wow, what a cheap knock-off of SG-1."
I didn't get it until "Hide and Seek." When John and Rodney beamed at each other, and John grinned, "I shot him" – ha, such boys. I finally understood.
Isn't it great when writers like

Yes, John and Rodney have found a newextremely valuable and potentially dangerous Ancient device toy, and compete over who gets to keep it. The battle eventually embroils any number of Atlantis personnel in schemes just shy of deadly. You couldn't solve this with a referee and a whistle. Especially since they're enjoying it so much.
