Why This Must Be Read: I adore Rodney and Ronon bonding on the hive ship fics. There should be more of them. But if I could only have one, it would be this one. It's got pretty much everything I wanted out of that scenario before we hit the start of the new season (no season three spoilers).
Rodney is lamenting their almost certain demise and asks Ronon to lie to him. “They’re not going to kill us, McKay. Atlantis will come get us.” It's the first little white lie they exchange, but not the last. Their lies are things they want to be true, expectations they hope will be met, and promises they don't fully understand that they are making that get them through.
