Why This Must Be Read: If I could I would recommend all of Travelling One’s work. She writes great Jack and Daniel friendship stories that have drama, action and adventure plus tossed in hurt/comfort with some angst. I love that combination. This story is a good representative of the talent of this author. Daniel leaves the SGC for a year for what he believes to be a cultural exchange with advanced aliens. In actuality he is being used (what for I won’t tell you). Jack never suspects and he is caught in the web as well. What makes this story great are the short soliloquies given by Jack. Speaking from the heart isn’t something that Jack does everyday but this story gives him an avenue to do so and it works! There’s a bit of angst and a bit of suspense near the end. A little of everything and I think you’ll like it!
