This fic is part of a series which follows John and Carson's relationship through several episodes. You can read it without reading the others, but they're all good, so I recommend reading them, as well.
I chose this particular fic because of the way it shows their relationship. It deals with the aftermath of "The Tower", when Carson confronts John about his little adventure with Mara.
