Why It Should Be Read?

I don't know how well known Layton's work is in the SG-1 circles, but she should be. This is only a vignette, but it contains so much emotion and characterization. It's a beautiful look at Daniel as he realizes something about himself. Definitely a must-read.

I enjoy all of Layton's work, particularly her humour, but all are worth a read. She and Forcryingoutloud have written some very amusing stories where Layton writes Daniel's part and FCOL writes Jack's. It's kind of like a 'who can out smart and piss off the other first' type of writing, and it works. :-) She's got a new website, although the above link still works.
