Ooohhhh, Quinn's writing is lovely and so singular. Her ability to make really long story arcs and keep them consistant and exciting is amazing. I like all of her work though some of it has stirred the hornets nest of kerfuffle in this fandom. I recommend it all but most especially this one.
The Journey's End is long and in some ways, painful but never dissapointing. I've always longed to see the boys subsist on their own, just like I know they're able to do. I love seeing them so capable. And muddled at the same time. It's a gentle turn of relationship; pre-slash, angry confusion, distancing reliance and then subtle love gifts. Very enchanting. I know most won't call it enchanting. I love Quinn's worlds. This one is no exception.
