When he finally made it into the infirmary, he was glad to see Kavanagh was no where in sight, but mildly worried that Sheppard was sitting on one of the beds, trying to push Beckett away.

"What's going on?" he asked, concerned. "Its oxygen deprivation, isn't it? I knew it. I knew it had to be."

Sheppard glared at him and Beckett shook his head. "No, it isn't oxygen deprivation, luckily. Just a wee bump on the head."

"A wee bump on the head?" Rodney snapped incredulously. "Well, you should run an MRI. He's not acting himself."

Sheppard ran a hand through his hair, and Rodney noticed belatedly the glaring hadn't stopped. "What the hell are you talking about? I'm fine."

"I have to agree with Major Sheppard on this one, Rodney. It's hardly more than a scratch." Beckett gave Sheppard a faint smile. "You're free to go, lad, but if you get dizzy or anything…"

"I'll head right back, I know, thanks." Sheppard shot Carson a beatific smile, which faded the moment he turned to look back at Rodney.

"Are you sure you're alright, John?" Rodney asked, arranging his voice carefully to sound nothing but concerned.

Sheppard's eyes widened. "You just called me John!" he said.

Rodney bristled and crossed his arms. "I can't call you John? You let Kavanagh call you John."
