Why This Must Be Read:
This story deals with the aftermath of The Storm/The Eye. It's a very strong story, describing the pain, the anguish of the characters as they discover what happened and try to move on, fixing what they can along the way. It focuses on the friendship between Rodney and John and Rodney and Carson and offers a very different backstory to McKay and Beckett than what fandom has so far.
"Rodney didn't feel like a hero; heroes didn't give in, heroes didn't care about their own skin, heroes didn't want to lock their door, curl up in a corner and never go outside again. He'd always wanted to be a hero; today proved just how utterly flawed his own perception was."
