Why This Must Be Read:
This story is an explanation of a 'what if'…what if Sam's life had been different, what if General West, enlightened soul that he was, had remained at the SGC.
Now it's not really explored, as in it's not an AU, but rather a story that takes place in Sam's head after she's attacked by Replicarter.
What I liked about it, from the point of view of a person that likes her ship in fic not on the show, is that the characterizations are very well done. Jack is Jack, Sam is Sam and so on. And Pete isn't the root of all evil either.
It's kinda similar to a story I wrote, only Jo takes a shippy angle that I didn't totally take.
If you're in the mood for a warm and fuzzy ship fic that's not all OTT with flowers and propositions, then I think you'll enjoy this story.

I'm sorry - which category are you rec'cing this in? Is it a "Sam" rec or a "Sam/Jack" rec? This matters because tagging duty is assigned according to categories; the person who tags "Sam" recs is different from the one who tags "Sam/Jack" recs. Would you please label it one or the other so I know whether or not to tag it? Thank you!
