Daniel's self abuse alarms Jack who decides it's time for a heart-to-heart discussion with his best friend.


Why This Must Be Read:

The story is well-written and involved. In the story we see a strong friendship that has suffered an almost lethal blow. When the friendship is nearly gone Jack learns a truth about Daniel that drives him to act. The truth Jack learns leads him on a mission to help Daniel realize he's important and regain his will to fight and continue fighting to live. It also leads to a long-overdue confession being uttered. Enjoy!

It appears she's changed her pen name to Foreverwolf. Still on Area 52 but under a different name and this seems to now be part 1 in a series of 5.

Oh thanks for telling me about updating the original post. I hadn't thought of that. : )

I will warn you though I just finished reading the other four parts and the story is apparently incomplete now but I really enjoyed the newer parts. I guess she decided that she wanted to expand on the original. Enjoy! : D

Um actually I can't correct that update. I don't have posting access for this month. I'll have to do it when I volunteer again. Grr, forgot you need to be given that access first...kind of sucks when you're trying to correct one of your own entries but I understand why they have it.

Hehe, thanks! On the topic of reccing, have you seen any passable gen or J/D fics where Daniel retains some or all of his Ascended power? They don't have to be too terribly good, just readable. Thanks ^_^

I've been meaning to get back into volunteering for reccing myself. I used to do it every month then RL got so busy that I had to take a few months off before doing it again. I keep watching the rec list when she's searching for reccers but have yet to volunteer again. Between running and maintaining my archives and working on my own stories along with RL I get kind of lost in the shuffle so to speak : D

Hmm passable gen J/D fics where Daniel retains some or all of his Ascended power? I can't think of any of the top of my head and I've read quite a bit. Usually in a lot of those ascended stories Daniel slowly begins to remember bits and pieces of his life before he ascended or he starts remembering things about while he was ascended. Keeping any of his abilities that he had when ascended? I'm not sure.

I know that's not very helpful. Sorry about that. : ( I'll keep an eye out for you though. Take care! : D
