I've been wondering if one of the reasons for the boom in Daniel/Vala fic is that it doesn't necessarily have to conflict with Daniel/Jack.

Here, Vala gets more than she bargained for while "liberating" items from an SGC supply closet - and isn't complaining. Tough, snarky, hot and extremely married Jack/Daniel, seen from the perspective of an outsider - who you know is just going to regard this as a challenge. Or possibly an added bonus ...

So far she's lifted five staplers, eight reams of paper, and she isn't quite sure what the box of colorful pegs with sharp ends are, but they'd make fantastic ammo if she could find the gun that's meant to fire them.

Uncomprehending but enterprising - I love her plan to sell the stapler as "a rather fetching ancient artifact of a lost civilization." There are just so many good lines in this.

Yes, it's brilliantly written, and the Vala POV is fantastic, so you might enjoy that even if the slash isn't your thing.
