Why This Must Be Read: 

This short ficlet is a very bittersweet look at the difficult and very deadly path Daniel Jackson has travelled during his time with the SGC and how that has brought him into Samantha Carter's heart.  By mapping the physical scars of his sleeping body, she finds a destination hadn't realised she was going.
