Why This Must Be Read: This AU story draws a bleak picture of what Daniel's life might have been like just before he went to Atlantis, and then proceeds to fix everything that went wrong, in one way or another. She writes Daniel so well that I can imagine Michael Shanks saying these lines or acting out these scenes. This is a story that I think Sideburns wrote for me, even though I don't know her and she doesn't know me. There is a lot of Daniel love in this story, but this story was written for those who believe there is never too much Daniel love. :-)
