Why This Must Be Read: This short story has so many layers, I don't know where to start. This is my favorite scene from the episode we never saw. It's the cost of war. It's character interaction as I wish we'd seen it on the show. It's team members caring about each other in subtle ways. I would love to have seen this scene play out on the show, but Pares draws the picture in such a way that I see it clearly in my mind anyway.
