Why This Must Be Read: On reading this the first time, I could hardly wait for the writer’s next post because I just knew that the thing I suspected was wrong was that Rodney was pregnant and that Atlantis was the father. I’ve begged and begged for an update, but I guess Zoë Rayne’s algebra class must've gotten more challenging or something because I’m still waiting for the next un-beta’ed chapter.
Wait! Don’t run away, unless it’s to read this piece, because this is intentionally bad fic and thus, good fic. Intentionally bad fic is like a double negative in English so it’s really a positive. See? The author has obviously met the bad!fic beast and made a thorough study. Written in the style of an index page for a story posted at fanfiction.net, it’s a quick read but a second, more leisurely trip through the entries on the page reveals that this is more than a story told in its summaries. It’s much, much more.
These are the field notes of a wordicologist who has painstakingly studied bad!fic in its native habitat. Note the innumerable chapters, the irrelevant asides included in the narrative, the bursts of posting separated by long breaks, the love of the dash as punctuation, and of course the use of song titles as chapter names. There is only one way to end the 20-part storyline that exists solely for smut-purposes and it’s everyone’s favorite line, "This story is not yet complete."
If the writer should stumble across this, I can only say:
omg!!!! I sooo <3 U write more soon!!!! k?
Author’s Challenge Summary: While on an apparently uninhabited planet, Rodney is bit by a bug of unknown origins. No one thinks much of his panic...until they return to Atlantis, and Rodney becomes a sex magnet! Hit on by everyone, can someone find a cure without giving in?
