Why This Must Be Read:
First, this is a WIP that will likely never be finished. However, the first two arcs (which cover the first two seasons in 44 chapters) can be read as a complete story. It's a must for every Jack/Daniel slasher.

This story is addicting and maddening. Following the ups and downs of the first two seasons of SG-1, Roo's Jack is sensitive (yet manly), her Daniel mercurial, and they're both confused and yet know exactly what they want—basically, they're in character.

Roo deals with the canon relationships—Sha're, Kynthia, Shyla, and Sam—with respect and doesn't diminish or neglect any of the canon.

Her prose is lyrical and understated; the ups and downs are heartbreaking and joyous; and the sex is deliciously hot.

Excerpt from Chapter 2: Liberium de Deus ("Children of the Gods" spoilers)
When they get to Chulak, Jack constantly interrupts Daniel. He doesn't know why he feels the needs to exert his power over Daniel—perhaps because, of all the people there, Daniel is the only one exempt from, and in ignorance of, his command. But he feels the need to teach Daniel his place along that chain.

One of the team asks how Daniel landed Sha're for a wife.

Jack teases, "She was a gift."

But it doesn't go over like he thought it would, because Daniel's face just lights up and he nods and says, "She was," and that was that, and Jack feels hollow for some strange reason.

Then Apophis' priests appear on the scene and Daniel, being Daniel, runs right up to them and tries to engage in a little conversation. Jack swears, and cradles his rifle in case this gets ugly. He looks to Carter and hopes to God she never pulls this shit.

omg i cant believe no one has recced this before!!! crazyness i tell you.
this is the jack/daniel fic as far as im concerned. its just so freakin perfect. thanks for reminding me how wonderful it is! i almost forgot that i never finished the last few chapters!!!

I freaked out when I realized that it hasn't been recced. You know what else hasn't been recced? Dr. Jackson's Diary! I can't believe it. I'm so thrilled that I get to be the one to rec these. It's like an honor or something. ;)

are you serious!? Dr.Jacksons diary was never recced? i thought thats where i found it to begin with. but i dont see it anywhere. jeez! well you go girl! now is the time! :D

see i need to re-read Simpatico when i can just sit down and read it cause its been so long that i need to go back and read it from the beginning again. to get the full force of it lol. but its gonna need a chunk of time and a quiet room lol ;)

It appears that it will not be updated. As I understand Roo has fallen out of the SG-1 fandom quite a bit. It's a little disappointing because it's such a wonderful fic, but it's hard to complain since there are 44 brilliant chapters. ;)

i also want to see what happens when they get jack back again in s7, ya know?! heh

Last I heard she might finish Tria, but it sounded like that would be it. I don't know if she'd wrap it up there to give a full closure or not. I still think it's perfectly enjoyable as it stands.
