Why This Must Be Read:
This is a series of crossover fics in which many characters of assorted TV series are Immortals of the Highlander variety. These include a certain Daniel Jackson, Really Old Guy extraordinaire whose Watcher is (quite conveniently) Janet Fraiser and whose 'real' persona is not as nice as your friendly neighbourhood archaeologist. The majority if the series deals with the "Immortal Underground", an unofficial self-help organisation that starts up when a naughty Watcher tells the world about Quickenings etc – its members save each other from capture by nasty government groups and wade into a propaganda war with the use of, um, fanfic *cough* after the public gets its head messed with by a dodgy movie.. Other fics are more standalone, dealing with characters' Immortal backstory.
