Link: A Tale of Two Rodneys on AO3
Why This Must Be Read: An amusing tale where yet again Rodney accidentally activates an Ancient machine on Atlantis. On this occasion it duplicates him. This of course leads to great consternation and a lot of snark and argument between the Rodneys. Eventually, Radek and the linguists figure out the machine's purpose, and John finally gets rewarded after a very trying day. A fun romp!
This is by the author of "I, Rodney" in which Rodney's an android. You can check that one out at the LJ link above.
The Rodneys were in complete agreement that Elizabeth was being unfair and unreasonable, but having something in common didn’t lead them to get along any better. They ended up sitting with their backs to each other on either side of the room’s bed — the biggest one John had seen yet in Atlantis. Every few minutes, one Rodney or the other would have an idea about what the device might have done, or hear one of the scientists saying something stupid, or would decide he just had to have another go at convincing Elizabeth or Zelenka that he was the real one. When that happened, John got to drag him back.
All in all, it was a terrible waste of two Rodneys and a giant bed.
