To help out fellow reccers.

rec50 is a brand-new community on LJ dedicated to bringing
you recs from any and all fandoms and pairings.

The concept behind it is simple. We've got fanfic100 and it
is wonderful and great. But not all of us are writers. And even those
of us that are writers sometimes have that dreaded case of writer's
block, or just feel the need to let loose and step back from the
keyboard for a bit.

We all have fic that we love and reread over and over again. There are
writers that, no matter how big of a writer you are, you fangirl like
crazy.

So why not rec them?

The nice thing about rec50 is the flexibility. You don't have to
actually hit 50 recs if you can't do it or find that you don't have
the time. There are benchmarks at smaller, more manageable numbers for
smaller fandoms or rarer pairings.

There are a woefully small number of claims on the Table for Stargate
pairings, and only one claim for SG-1. As rec50 is striving
to be multi-fandom, this is kinda a bit of a bummer to some of the
mods (and one in particular who is a Stargate nut).

So come sign up! All are welcome. Just take a look-see at the Table of
claimed fandoms, characters and pairings and if the one you want isn't
taken, leave a comment. Simple as that. And if your claim isn't
available, there's a waitlist available for the next go round.

Reccing begins October 25, so come sign up now to avoid starting late.
