Why This Must Be Read: Kate/Elizabeth is one of the rarest of Stargate femslash pairings (I've probably written most of it), so finding Kate/Elizabeth in the wild that I haven't written is an absolute treat. This story is so well-done and has one of my favorite tropes, which is Kate and Elizabeth being so good at their jobs and at talking with everyone else except each other, as well as a lot of Elizabeth and Teyla friendship and working together, and Pegasus culture. The only thing I could wish for is to have found more Stargate fic by
cyanassa when I went to look, but alas, there was only one. At least it was this beautiful piece, written in non-linear fashion. It's a comedy of errors, but it all comes out in the end.
“Why are you here?” Elizabeth asked, astonished, then winced as Teyla elbowed her.
“You asked for me,” Kate said, sounding almost hurt, fishing a piece of paper out of her pocket.
Elizabeth stared in despair at her own handwriting. “Katie,” she croaked out, “I wanted Katie Brown.”
“Did you?” Kate asked, very very politely.
