Why This Must Be Read Heard: It's a great story, fluently read by Podcath. In the story, canon!John is amnesiac on Earth in the wrong universe, one where the Goa'uld have invaded and subjugated Earth. Also, he's in a Goa'uld prison camp and he thinks he used to be an air force major in Antarctica, not a Lt. colonel in Atlantis. Then Rodney and Carter turn up to rescue him but he doesn't recognise them. Of course there's a pesky Ancient device behind it all, and in the process of sorting it out they run into another Samantha Carter (Dr. Carter, PhD) who's from the alternate Earth. They help her escape the Goa'uld and there's a brief and satisfying sequel where we find out what happens to her - Earth2: Two Months Later.
