Why This Must Be Read Heard: Librarychick_94 is one of my favourite podficcers and has recorded a treasure-trove of SGA fics. This story by Purna is a special favourite (I did the cover art back in the day). It's a California-based AU with John down on his luck and working as a lifeguard when he rescues Rodney from drowning. The story's about their romance, and about John in particular discovering and being discovered by the Stargate programme.
