Why This Must Be Read: Cassandra Fraiser wants a bedtime story, specifically one that starts with "It was a wild and stormy night ...". And thus we hear the tale of SG-1's adventure to a stormy planet where they find an object which Sam insists she just has to take back to the SGC for study. And we all know what happens when they do that, don't we? This is a wonderfully written SG-1 Team adventure story, by an author whose stories I greatly enjoyed 'back in the day'. As far as I can tell, her work is only available via the Wayback Archive (and as with most content on the Archive, who knows for how much longer it'll remain accessible).
He sat beside her thinking. "What kind of story do you want to hear."
"Duh..., it's Halloween. I want something spooky and scary."
He made a great show of thinking about it and then settled down next to her. She snuggled in close to him. "Once upon a time...," he began.
"Daniel," she interrupted him.
"Yes?"
"It's a ghost story, they always start on a wild and stormy night."
"Oh, okay.' He wrapped his arms around her, and began his story, "It was a wild and stormy night outside, but it wasn't earth where the intrepid explorers found themselves."
"Is it SG-1?" She whispered.
"Are you going to keep interrupting?" He asked her, "cause I can let you tell the story."
