[None provided] SG-1 went into an alien temple and came back changed.

Why This Must Be Read:

Another Evil Author Day fic that has enough to make a good story with an open ending. This one would have been a great story arc on the show... what's written would be one episode and then there'd be 3-4 more episodes to resolve the problem.

SG-1 comes back from a mission years younger than they left. Wacky Ancient temple for the win! Of course the NID wants to check it out, see if they can steal the technology for themselves, and examine SG-1 in their own labs.

There's a brief cameo by Rodney McKay that tips off the behind-the-scenes maneuvering that even George Hammond isn't privvy to.

The ending is of the 'to be continued' sort, but the story is done enough to appreciate where the author was going.

Don't bug her for more, just appreciate what's there.

"Unauthorized incoming wormhole!"

The common cry echoed through the SGC along with the sirens. General George Hammond smiled as he stepped into the control room in time to hear Sergeant Walter Harriman saying "It's SG-1's IDC." Amazing, they were early, had only missed one check in, and weren't being chased by Jaffa.

George walked down towards the Gate Room as soon as he saw the iris expose the clear blue puddle that was the end of the wormhole. He arrived after the wormhole had shut down, but did not see what he expected to see. Oh, there were four figures standing on the ramp, but on all but one the BDU's were over sized and the features far too youthful. The gate guards were understandably upset, guns at the ready.

"Teal'c, what is going on here?" George pushed forward and quickly latched onto the only figure on the ramp that he recognized. Though there seemed to be something off about the Jaffa, it was nothing compared to those at his side.

"We have completed the treaty with the natives of PS5-789," the Jaffa replied in his normal stoic manner. "The treaty was approved by the ruling body with all details the Tau’ri could wish for, after we received the highest blessing from their gods."

"Blessing my aunt fanny," snarked the twenty-something looking man standing next to Teal'c. "Apparently they have some kind of alien tech embedded in their temple. Usually it just gives them a pretty light show, but, lucky us, it decided to be a little more dramatic this time."

The face was only faintly familiar, but it was the sarcastic manner and frustrated stance that made the connection in George's mind. "Jack?" This could not be happening.
