Why This Must Be Read: This is a Stargate Atlantis/Star Wars fusion. Specifically, according to the tags, SW: Knights of the Old Republic. I'm not all that into Star Wars, if I'm honest. I can't keep the characters straight, and I'm confused on the timeline of some things. This fic is written in such a way that it doesn't matter. I love science fiction AUs, and there's not many of them because SGA is already sci-fi. So it's fun to read a fic where they travel to other planets, and meet alien species, but in a way that's not Stargate. All the worldbuilding is light and background (no info dumps here). John and Rodney are so sweet and deeply in love in this fic - they can't keep their hands off each other. And I love that John and Rodney are just two regular people and it's Teyla and Ronon who are the Jedi Knights with the important missions. It's fun, with a bit of angst (especially concerning everybody's pasts). It's romantic, and it's team.
