Why This Must Be Read: Trinity (the Doranda episode) spawned a raft of "Post Trinity" fics, which are amusingly categorised with a "lemon chicken" rating (see here at Fanlore, and the list on Wayback Machine) according to the degree of extreme Rodney whump via shunning and assorted mistreatment, including the mess deliberately serving citrus-laden foods. Hilariously extreme as some of these are, I wanted something a bit more reasonable, and this fic is a lovely example of Ronon being straightforward and supportive in his blunt way, in the face of general over-reaction. I like the common sense aspect of this and the relationship between Rodney and Ronon. It has, of course, a very low lemon chicken rating, due to being sensible. (On the other hand, if you want the full 10/10 lemon chicken rating, try Sandstorms by Mithreon - warning, Rodney is literally partly eaten by bugs, so there are some icky bits!).
Summary: He may be the only one, but Ronon’s still speaking to Rodney.
