Why This Must Be Read: A lovely exploration of five ways characters didn’t end up going to Atlantis. On the one hand, this is a bit sad because they missed Atlantis and the friends they would have made there, but I really like how it shows that these are smart, competent people who could have landed on their feet elsewhere. And in some cases, it really is a better potential ending for them.
The dismissal from the SGC is harsh and totally unfair. Rodney ended up being wrong, yeah, but it's not like Major Barbie'd been doing any better until that shot in the dark.
