July reccers volunteer post

This entry will be open to Juky volunteers through June 30th. The monthly reccers post will go up on Monday.

Comment with the username you'll be using to rec and the category you want. Choose a category from the list below or select a more rare category that has been used in the past. If you want to rec a category that is not on the list below or in Memories, please feel free to ask. Remember that you may volunteer for a category that isn't listed.

By signing up, you are committing yourself to reccing at least two (preferably four) stories in that category during the month of July. June reccers may only sign up for next month after posting their minimum two recs for this month. Remember that you don't have to check the Memories before choosing which stories to rec. If you have a good fic to rec, go for it! Do remember, though, that story links must be freely accessible, without requiring any sort of login to view. This year, we are also allowing self-recs, but only after a reccer has done the minimum two for their category of the month. More details at this link, and drop a comment or e-mail if you need clarification.

Wow, I don't believe two of my favorite Sam/Jack stories aren't in the memories, so I'll request to sign up to rec Sam/Jack. The stories are friendship on the way to developing into romance, so I'll let you decide if the pairing tag or the friendship tag is more suitable. Also, is it permissible to rec crossovers in this category too?

Edited to add: if no one takes the crossover recs, I'll take that one too.

Just to clarify: I'm giving you two categories (four recs, yay!), one which is Sam/Jack and one which is crossovers.

I am amused by your question re Sam and Jack friendship, because most people just go with the Sam/Jack tag and as a dedicated gen fangirl, it took me ages to discover that yes, Sam and Jack friendship fics exist! To answer you most simply, what tags will be used are up to you, as the reccer. You may tag it as both friendship and ship if you feel those are appropriate. In the categories section, you can list both "gen" AND "het" as well as "Sam and Jack friendship." That should cover all the bases. :)

Please read through the FAQ if you haven't done so already, as you will find it explains everything pretty thoroughly. And you can always ask for clarification.
