Why This Must Be Read: I was delighted when I recently stumbled across K Hanna Korossy's stories on AO3 - originally published in print zines, these stories are some of my favourites from early-on. This one, set in Season 2, was first published in 2002. At its inner core - wrapped in an engaging look at Teal'c's continuing acclimation to his new home - is a satisfying, warm huddle of team caring and friendship. Imo, the characterisation of Teal'c, and his 'voice', is spotless. Just wonderful.
"How would you like that, sir?" the server asked.
Teal'c frowned. Knowing O'Neill, a steak was some sort of meat. "Cooked," he answered. How else would one have it?
O'Neill coughed next to him. "Well done," he said to the server, and Teal'c gave him a glance. Perhaps there were also more poorly done ways of preparing the meat.
