Why This Must Be Read: I watched The Sentinel for the first time this year and could definitely tell that it was on air during the same era as SG-1. Aside from the timeline matching up, it makes perfect sense to me that archeologist Daniel and anthropologist Blair would have crossed paths! Clocking in at 52,000 words, this is a nice, long adventure that starts with Blair being recruited into the Stargate program.
"You seem kinda quiet, Chief," Jim observed, shifting uncomfortably in the tight confines of the Volvo as he watched his roommate warily. Blair hadn't said much at all since Simon had surprised him with the offer of a full time job if he attended some courses in the Academy, like weapons use and marksmanship.
